Travelers Rest

Travelers Rest, by Ann Tatlock. Seth Balentine heads out to the war in Iraq to do his part to keep his country safe, but while there tragedy happens and he's shot in the neck. Leaving him completely paralyzed. Returning home isn't the happy homecoming that most want, although he's lucky to be alive, he proposed to his girlfriend Jane before he left and now feels he has no life left to live with her. So he releases her to find some one more able and not be "stuck" with him. Jane on the other hand is still madly in love with Seth and wishes that he could see that she still wants a life together with him, that being paralyzed didn't change her feelings for him. Can she help Seth see God's hand in his life still and make him see that she still loves him?
What a tear jerker! and what a difficult book! You don't find very many authors who are willing to tackle such issues as this, but Ann does and does it well! I was completely captivated from the moment I picked up this book till the moment I put it down. Its one of those books that when you put it down you just sigh, because it was so good it just comforted your soul. I look forward to reading more of Ann Tatlock's books!
